My Review
To truly say I read a book with a lot of emotion in it, just doesn’t happen enough now days. Well when I went into this one, I was just expecting the same type of story I am used to from Corinne. I was completely off base on this one, but in the BEST Way possible! Evermore packed a very emotional punch, while still delivering a lot of the mushy cute stuff we want out of a romance. And of course, not leaving out any of the sexiness that is just a requirement in a Corinne book. She has articulated the story of Ben and Gretchen so well that I just don’t know what to tell you that won’t in some way spoil the story. If you want a feel-good story that has a sprinkling of angst mixed in, this is the story for you. If you have never read her book, this is a very good place to start. You don’t have to have any backstories to love this Novella!
Gretchen is starting over after being jilted at the altar. As she finds her world flipped upside down as she begins to rebuild in another city, she also falls back into old ways with the first person she ever loved at a young age. Ben is so much I just can’t even describe to you how much Ben is! He’s everything! Former Navy Seal now working with Gretchen in her new job, he finds himself falling back in love with her after all the years spent apart and all the devastation along the way. These two together is one of the sweetest things I have read in a long time.
Bravo Corinne on such an amazing adventure in the 1001 Dark Nights world!
