My Review:
This is my first Prescott Lane novel and I was drawn to it by the blurb. While the cover also pulled me in, I must say it’s not necessarily about a little girl and her dad. Although once “Daddy’s Little Girl”, always “Daddy’s Little Girl” despite the age. This book is a pull at your heart strings kind of tale of the love of a single dad and his daughter. He has struggled since the young age of 16 raising her alone, and the story is a very sweet one. Devlyn has been there for him since day 1 and has loved him since the beginning. He’s oblivious. They hook up once. It’s your typical hidden romance, but everything I would say “Typical” about it ends there. Garrett’s little girl is headed off to college and what he doesn’t see happening is a romance with one of his closest friends. But when it happens, it made me smile! What a great story and I can’t wait to read more of her writing.
