I love reading a new authors debut novel. Something about getting to know their writing style and personality through their words on their first piece of published work is always such a fun thing! Getting to know Dylan’s writing in her debut novel, Rise, was such an amazing rush for me! It was so full of passion and I loved the characters she has created for us.
Addie and Simon’s story is a very powerful one in many ways. They are two very similar souls, with very dark pasts that have turned them both into cynical people who aren’t sure what they are looking for in life. Their relationship was full of every emotional connection under the sun and it made it for a very enjoyable read.
