This was just another great addition to another Kristen Proby series and I can’t wait to see where she goes with it from here. This second book, Close to You, follows Cami and Landon. What begins as a typical boy meets girl, girl is his little sisters best friend, and they fall for each other anyway, doesn’t follow this typically predictable tale beyond that. They go their own ways, and after over a decade, run back into each other back in Portland after Landon comes back from the Navy. I mean, Navy pilot, hello!!!! Cami isn’t interested in anything with him when he appears back in her life years after her broken heart, but he will stop at nothing to woo her and win her over. This story is full of wit, charm, flirtation and lots of fun and romance. I love all of Kristen’s books because you really don’t get the typical romances from her, and Close to You is no exception! It’s sweet and very much hopeful, and made me smile throughout more than not.
